oai:ojs.africanscientificjournal.com:article/1The introduction of new information technologies in the hospital sector is validated as a tool forimproving the quality of care. In Morocco, the awareness of adoption of these new technologies isgrowing significantly, but these innovations are not always accepted by end-users who are healthprofessionals, this mitigates their success and limits their impacts. In this context, we seek, on thebasis of a literature review, to propose a theoretical model of the acceptance of new informationtechnologies in the hospital sector in Morocco – in the case of CHU-. To this end, we adopt a modelbased approach to the unified theory of technology acceptance and use (UTAUT) to build ourresearch model.

Pediatric recurrent respiratory tract infections: when and how to explore the immune system? (About 53 cases)

    Get PDF
Recurrent respiratory tract infections are one of the most frequent reasons for pediatric visits and hospitalization. Causes of this pathology are multiple ranging from congenital to acquired and local to general. Immune deficiencies are considered as underlying conditions predisposing to this pathology. Our work is about to determine when and how to explore the immune system when facing recurrent respiratory infections. This was based on the records of 53 children hospitalized at the pediatrics unit of Hassan II University Hospital, Fez Morocco. Thirty boys and 23 girls with age ranging from 5 months to 12 years with an average age of 2 years were involved in this study. Bronchial foreign body was the main etiology in children of 3 to 6 year old. Gastro-esophageal reflux, which in some cases is a consequence of chronic cough, as well as asthma were most frequent in infants (17 and 15% respectively). Immune deficiency was described in 7.5% of patients and the only death we deplored in our series belongs to this group. Recurrent respiratory tract infections have multiple causes. In our series they are dominated by foreign body inhalation and gastroesophageal reflux, which in some cases is a consequence of a chronic cough. Immune deficiency is not frequent but could influence the prognosis. Therefore immune explorations should be well codified.Pan African Medical Journal 2016; 2

LE CONTRÔLE INTERNE : UN LEVIER DE PERFORMANCE ORGANISATIONNELLE

    Get PDF

Growth performance and biochemical composition of nineteen microalgae collected from different Moroccan reservoirs

    Get PDF
Macro- and microalgae have recently received much attention due to their valuable chemical constituents. In order to increase existing data, the authors studied nineteen microalgae species isolated from different reservoirs in the Fez region (northern Morocco), undertaking experiments to determine for each species the specific growth rate, their total amounts of proteins, carbohydrates and lipids and the influence of the growth phase on these chemical constituents. Conditions of cultivation were as follows: light intensity equal to 300 μmol photons m-2 s-1, with a temperature regime of 25/20°C (day/night) and a 16/8 (light/dark) photoperiod cycle. The growth rates of the nineteen studied species of microalgae showed a wide variation between species, ranging from 0.27 g l-1 d-1 for Chlamydomonas ovalis to 3.64 g l-1 d-1 for Chlorococcum wemmeri. Protein, carbohydrate and lipid contents varied greatly between taxa and within genera. Ankistrodesmus falcatus, Chlamydomonas ovalis, Chlorococcum sp., Hyaloraphidium contortum, Scenedesmus protuberans, and Synechocystis aquatilis tended to synthesize proteins, the concentrations exceeding 20% dry weight (DW). Ankistrodesmus falcatus, Ankistrodesmus sp., Chlorococcum wemmeri, Coenocystis sp., Isocystis sp., Lyngbya bergei, Oscillatoria amphibia, Polytoma papillatum, Scenedesmus protuberans, Scenedesmus sp. and Synechocystis aquatilis showed a high capacity for lipid storage, greater than 20% DW. For carbohydrate contents, only Scenedesmus protuberans and Scenedesmus quadricauda showed an excessive level compared to other scanned species with 29.21% and 24.76% DW, respectively

CIRCULATION MARINE DE LA LAGUNE DE NADOR (MAROC) PAR MODELISATION HYDRODYNAMIQUE

    Get PDF
The marine circulation of Nador lagoon (Morocco) have been studied from April to July 2011 by hydrodynamic 3D model, under the new configuration of its new inlet which is operational from 2011. This study aims to understand the new mode of hydrodynamic functioning of this lagoon. The circulation in the lagoon is wind driven circulation, as the wind is contributing to mixing internally the lagoon waters. During the neap tides, the surface currents are very strong in the new inlet (> 1 m.s-1), less than 0.5 m.s-1 in the centre and 0.3 m.s-1 near the continental sides of the lagoon. The bottom currents are in the opposite direction from the surface currents and less than 0.2 m.s-1

In this article, we have proposed a new control of a PV system connected to the grid. The goal is to reduce current and voltage harmonicsfor increasing the quality of delivered energy. First, we have modeled a PV panel. Then we have dimensioned the BOOST converter by finding L and C values. Next, we have used Perturb and Observe (P&O) Maximum Power Point Control (MPPT) to improve energy efficiency. Finally, We have developed a control of single-phase H-bridge inverter in order to eliminate the 3rd,5th,7th and 9th harmonics order, and added an LCLTo connect the PV inverter to the grid, an LCL betweenthe inverter and the grid. Theperformance of the proposed system was tested by computing spectrum and THD usingMatlab/Simulink software. The proposed architecture provides better Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) which satisfy the EN50160 requirement the THD must be less than 4.66%. We found that THD was decreased from 61.93% to 0.04%
